Presented by Stew Sexton, AbilityDis Consulting
Imagine carrying a plate of food in one hand. Now imagine carrying three plates in one hand, while wheeling a wheelchair. Imagine also being the chef that cooked the meals on those three plates. Stew Sexton is that person.
Stew Sexton is a change maker and accessibility advisor, who specialises in diversity education and training in the disabilities space. A trained chef, Stew now works with businesses to encourage them to become more inclusive and accessible in their thinking.
Over the course of an hour Stew will cover:
· Recruiting with accessible inclusion
· Bridging the gap that stops recruiting with accessible inclusion
· Reflecting on the needs of both you the employer and potential employees
· The next steps
Stew hopes today’s session inspire you to give people with disabilities the opportunities to follow their dreams. This is part one of a two-part series themed around Accessibility. Part two will focus on ‘Making your Business More Accessibility-friendly for Customers’.
