Urgent Meeting - Save Hospo Covid Response

  • 23 Feb 2022
  • 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM

Registration is closed

We have organised an urgent meeting this Wednesday, 23 February, at 3.00pm, inviting industry operators to join us with a group of government representatives, MP's and Ministers, to come together.

  • Marisa Bidois, Chief Executive, Restaurant Association
  • Helen White, List MP, Labour Party
  • Chloe Swarbrick, MP, Auckland Central, Green Party
  • Andrew Bayly, List MP, National Party

The purpose of the meeting is to address how we can save hospo. This meeting will focus on bringing everyone together to discuss the situation that our industry is currently in, share our concerns, hear from the government representatives and work together to table some urgent solutions.

We've been battling Covid for more than 2 years now and the situation we are currently facing is more challenging than ever before. Our conversations with members, backed up with sales data from the past weeks, is highlighting the downturn that the industry is facing. While the announcement of a new support package by Government provides some relief, we are concerned that not all affected businesses will be eligible due to the date comparator in place. This meeting is also an opportunity to bring everyone together and talk about what else you would like to see happen as we move through the Omicron peak and out the other side.

All attendees will be emailed a link to join the meeting.

Please do share this invitation with other members who would also benefit from attending.
