The Restaurant Association, with the support of American Express and Nova Energy, will be hosting a Taranaki MeetMe member briefing at The Hour Glass, 49 Liardet Street, New Plymouth on 11th August at 2.30pm. The Restaurant Association’s member briefings connect regional members to national experts on subjects important to your business.

This member briefing will be in three parts:

Part 1: 2.30pm - 2.45pm

Get the latest industry update, presented by the Restaurant Association. We’ll let you know about some of the upcoming RA events and activities, as well as any developments impacting the hospitality industry.

Part 2: 2.50pm - 3.30pm

Johnathan Young, MP for Taranaki 

New Plymouth MP Johnathan Young will be joining our member briefing. He'll talk about National's key initiatives for the region and will also discuss the Party's policy positions on key issues for the hospitality industry.

Jonathan is born and raised in Taranaki; originally on a farm at Otakeo, South Taranaki; but he also spent time growing up in Hawera and New Plymouth. He is the National Party spokesperson for Energy and Resources; Arts, Culture and Heritage; and Regional Development (North Island). 

This is a great opportunity for members to talk with Johnathan, ask questions, and let him know about the challenges of the industry.

Part 3: 3.30 - 4.00pm - Networking

We’ll have food and drinks kindly provided by Kapiti Cheese, Barkers and Clearview Estate Winery. Join us to catch up with local operators, as well as your local Restaurant Association rep Alastair!
